Heidi Endemann Studio

Heidi Endemann

After gallery owner Don Endemann died in 2018, his long-time associate Roberta Tewes and his wife, painter Heidi Endemann, decided to keep the gallery alive. Earlier this year Heidi moved her studio into the gallery space.

“I am thrilled to be surrounded by the work of painters, sculptors and ceramists I respect and feel inspired by. After having worked in seclusion for many years, I find it refreshing and stimulating to paint in this new environment, an environment that invites dialog, not only about the art on view, but also about ideas and various techniques – a creative exchange between like-minded people”.

Since 2011 I have been immersed in a large project: The International Flower Series or “FLORA IN GRISAILLE”’ consisting of over 80 paintings so far. It is about nations and their symbols, their language and calligraphy, their history, social circumstances, politics and wealth. But mostly, it is about ART & MONEY and the universal dilemma that artists face when dealing with money and the world, the Art World in particular.
